My Day Today…
So my day began waking up from my Christian bed, then walking into my bathroom to brush my teeth with my Christian toothbrush and Christian toothpaste. I chose a Christian cereal and along with a Christian apple to eat for breakfast. I decided on which Christian clothes I would wear for the day, put on my Christian shoes, then sat down to get to work on my Christian computer. A few times throughout the day I used my Christian pen and Christian paper to write a Christian note to a Christian friend or to write Christian Bible verses for them to read on their Christian computer.
I spent the morning, using Christian social media to work with Christian business people to talk about Christian things and to make some Christian money to pay my Christian bills. I do like living in my Christian home with my Christian trees, and Christian lawn, and right now it is decorated with Christian lights to celebrate the Christian month of December.
For lunch, I ate Christian soup, at a Christian restaurant, and talked over my Christian plans for the afternoon with two Christians. Of course, I drove my Christian car to the Christian restaurant! Once I returned to my Christian job, I saw several Christian packages had been delivered containing Christian presents for my Christian family. They were purchased from Christian business people, of course. I will wrap these up using my Christian wrapping paper, once I am home this evening, and place them under my Christian Christmas tree.
My afternoon went sailing along, and I continued my Christian work until it was time to once again drive my Christian car, to head to my Christian home. I prepared a yummy Christian meal of only the best Christian ingredients, and we ate all together…a Christian family at our Christian table. Once the Christian dishes were loaded into my Christian dishwasher, we all sat down to watch a Christian show on a Christian television network on a Christian television set. Then it was Christian pajama time! Again, using the same Christian toothbrush and Christian toothpaste as this morning, I finished my day by climbing into my Christian bed and clicking off my Christian light, dreaming happy Christian dreams of tomorrow….
OR…..in reality…..
I woke up and pretty much went through the same routine every other person on the planet goes through to begin their day. You know, getting dressed, eating breakfast, and heading to work. I talked to people, emailed others, and didn’t only interact with Christians. I then put in a long work day, grabbed lunch somewhere in the midst of all of it, and now I’m glad to be home and I will begin figuring out what’s for dinner. Oh,and I had a couple of non-Christians over to my home! Gasp!
BUT…..I, as a Christian, don’t honestly care if my toothbrush, toothpaste, cereal, computer, dishwasher, television set, pajamas or ANYTHING ELSE was made by Christians. What? Like if a Christian made your pajamas it is holy or some other nonsense like that? Oooohhh, better not use that because it has sin-cooties on it! Some non-Christian might have made it, touched it, infected it! Stay away! In fact, throw special holy water on it while you’re at it. Might just cause it to light itself on fire, praise Jesus and amen.
I pray that Jesus uses me each day in spite of my imperfect life and thoughts and actions and can somehow through me, show others that He loves them, and He cares about them, and He died for them. I will not surround myself with all-things supposedly Christian, just like I will not limit myself and God’s work in and through me by only being friends with Christians. In fact, as harsh as this might seem, more often than not, Christians are a pain in the you-know-what and I have a much more relaxed and enjoyable time hanging out with non-Christians. They are much less righteous, more honest, and they realize they are sinners. Guess what? Christians are sinners too. Christians are just saved from the punishment of our sins by God’s grace. So maybe it is time we started acting like it.
If you never spend time in relationship with people who are not Christians, then how on Earth do ever think you will share the GREAT NEWS with them about God’s love? You have to be authentic and real and have a true relationship with people and through that God will give you plenty of opportunities to share your faith with them. God is big enough to deal with your issues of perfection, holiness, and legalism, and has an entire world waiting to hear about His Son. Just get over the fear of sin-cooties, and find some non-Christian sinners to love on already!
Now, to that, I say AMEN!
Some family pre-Christmas fun!
What a brilliant idea!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I’m very thankful for my faith, my family, my friends, my business(es), the ability to work side by side with my awesome hubby every day. I’m thankful to see my grown children making their way in the world and watching them make great decisions that honor themselves, their family and their faith. I’m thankful for my husband’s incredible sense of humor, and all our inside jokes. Kids…you ain’t got nothin’ on us! I’m always thankful for the beautiful State of Colorado that we call home, and to the men and women who fight to keep us all safe, there will never be enough thank you’s for all you have done for us.
I am thankful for:
God’s never-ending, undeserved grace
Rick-the best blessing of my life
Charissa and Zachary-being your mom is an honor and I am forever grateful God gave you to me. You help me to understand and know God’s love better.
All the people in my life who don’t know that God loves them just the way they are. You challenge me to share His love with you. I want you to know how much He does care. I am a very imperfect vessel but I hope He uses me to convey how important you are to Him.
YES!!!!!!!!
